K9 Oles Making A Speedy Recovery

Oles is recovering nicely post-op!

K9 Oles has been with MVPD since January of 2010 and came to us by way of Germany. Oles is trained in tracking, area/building searches, evidence detection, handler protection and narcotics detection. But his duties were put on hold not too long ago when he went in for lumboscral surgery.

Oles prior to going into pre-op lays at his handlers side.

Oles and his K9 handler, Officer Valenzuela, have competed in numerous events and have always done an outstanding jobs in the areas of narcotics and patrol. And it’s thanks to Oles’ great personality and go-getter attitude that he is healing well!

Oles in action!

We are happy to report that Oles is now five weeks post-op and his swelling has reduced and his hair is growing back. Oles is able to walk around with his tail held high and spends his time enjoying a chew toy, or two, or three..not that we’re counting!

Rehab life is great, but Oles can’t wait to get back to his beat!
