On February 10, 2014 at around 4:57PM, a Mountain View officer stopped a vehicle on Rengstorff and Central Expressway for several vehicle code violations. Upon contacting the driver, later identified as suspect 37 year-old Nicholas Mendez out of San Jose, officers found he was on parole. Additionally, the two passengers in the vehicle, identified as 33 year-old Stacie Stephens out of Mountain View and 49 year-old Vito Enea out of Santa Clara, were both on probation.
A search of the vehicle revealed several items ranging from bottles of alcohol to meat. The meat and a bottle of alcohol was found to have been stolen from a store in Redwood City. Furthermore, officers located several fraudulent checks, burglary tools, concentrated cannabis, as well as methamphetamine on Stephens’ person.
All three suspects were booked into San Jose Main Jail without incident on charges ranging from burglary, forgery and various Health and Safety Code violations. If you recognize any of the property pictured above, please contact Mountain View PD at 650-903-6344 and reference case number 14-772.
