It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and the Mountain View Police Department is so excited to once again host our “Cops That Care” event! On Saturday, December 19th, over 1,300 kids selected from our community will gather at the Mountain View Community Center, located at 201 S. Rengstorff Ave., for this special holiday event.
“Cops That Care” provides gifts to children whose families may not be able to buy gifts on their own this holiday season. Each child is pre-selected from school referrals, and children up to 18-years-old who either attend school in Mountain View or live in our community will be able to select a toy from the hundreds available.
This event is so wonderful in large part to the generosity of our community. If you are interested in donating, brand new (unwrapped) gifts can be brought to the police department front counter or if you prefer, this online link will allow you to donate gift cards for older kids. All gift cards should be sent to the Mountain View Police Department at 1000 Villa Street, Mountain View, CA 94041. Checks should be made out to the City of Mountain View with “Cops That Care” written in the comment section. All gifts and gift cards will be accepted up until the day of the event.
“Cops That Care” has been wildly successful in years past thanks to the incredible generosity of our amazing community. From the bottom of our hearts: Thank You!
Your contribution to the program is tax-deductible. If you have any questions, please contact Sgt. Ken Leal at firstname.lastname@example.org.
