A new look for the MVPAL van

Keep an eye out!

Thanks to the generosity of the Mountain View Public Safety Foundation, the Mountain View Police Activities League (MVPAL) van recently got a makeover. The new, bright-colored wrapping on the van is the same as the PAL logo.

According to Alyssa Hamlin with MVPAL, the wrap helps promote and advertise the league in the community and creates community awareness. So be on the lookout!

Mountain View police and Santa used the van recently to visit children at a local hospital to deliver holiday presents.

“The wrap has generated so many positive comments from children and community members,” Hamlin said. “It allows us to be easily recognized when we are out driving in the community and has urged people to learn more about our organization. Without the generosity of the (foundation), this would not have been possible.”

The Mountain View Police Activities League, a non-profit organization affiliated with the Mountain View Police Department, was started in September 2006. Mountain View police officers and staff volunteer their time to help run the program.

I’m glad to see that PAL is alive & well. In the early 70s I was a PAL advisor & was pleased to see the MVPD’s influence on some of the members.
