This morning, Mountain View detectives served a search warrant on a home on the 500 block of West Middlefield Road after the Cyber Crime Unit got a tip related to a child pornography investigation.
During a search of the home, detectives found several devices that they were able to preliminarily examine. On those devices, our detectives discovered hundreds of files that depicted lewd and lascivious acts with children under 12.
Mountain View resident Josh Chispa, 18, was arrested on charges of PC 311.11, possession of child pornography, and PC 311.2, distribution of child pornography.
Chispa was booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
“This arrest came from many hours of diligent work by detectives following up on a tip. These types of crimes are always extremely concerning, and anyone who has any additional information should contact us,” said acting Lt. Tim Dahl.
This investigation is ongoing, and anyone with additional information on this case can contact either Det. Britton Moore or Det. Marco Garcia at 650-903-6344.
We want to thank the investigators at the Silicon Valley Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, who assisted us in this investigation. We appreciated it.
