On Nov. 2 around 2 pm, MVPD officers, along with the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team (SCCSET), arrested 62-year-old Los Altos resident John Morris, on suspicion of selling marijuana to minors and possession of marijuana, cocaine and heroin for sale.
A subsequent search of Morris’ home resulted in the discovery of over 50 pounds of marijuana and more than a dozen marijuana plants, which were confiscated. Cocaine and heroin, which were also found in his home, were also confiscated.
“This case showcased the great teamwork between Mountain View police and the county’s task force,” said MVPD Lt. Greg Oselinsky, who also serves on SCCSET. “These drugs are now off the street, and I appreciate all the hard work that went in to apprehending this suspect in this case.”
The case began after detectives with SCCSET learned that Morris was meeting with teens near St. Francis High School in Mountain View and allegedly selling them marijuana. Morris was arrested on the 1200 block of Covington Drive.
An investigation into this case is still ongoing. Anyone who has any information on this case, or on the suspect, can reach out to Lt. Greg Oselinsky at 650-903-6717.
