‘Tis the season of giving, and what better way to help your community than to help a family have an extra special Christmas?
Planning for our annual Cops That Care event is well underway, but we could use your help! Donations for over 1,300 children are needed by Dec. 17th. This event has been such a success in previous years thanks to the generosity of this incredible community.
“Cops That Care” provides gifts to children whose families may not be able to buy gifts on their own this holiday season. Each child is pre-selected from school referrals, and children up to 18-years-old who either attend school in Mountain View or live in our community will be able to select a toy from the hundreds made available through your generous donations.
If you are interested in donating, brand new (unwrapped) gifts can be brought to the police department front counter or if you prefer, this online link will allow you to donate gift cards for older kids. All gift cards should be sent to the Mountain View Police Department at 1000 Villa Street, Mountain View, CA 94041. Checks should be made out to the City of Mountain View with “Cops That Care” written in the comment section. All gifts and gift cards will be accepted up until the day of the event.
“Cops That Care” has been wildly successful in years past thanks to the incredible generosity of our amazing community. From the bottom of our hearts: Thank You!
Your contribution to the program is tax-deductible. If you have any questions, please contact Sgt. Ken Leal at ken.leal@mountainview.gov.
Melva
Hi I just have a quick question at what time do you start giving presents
Mountain View PD
Hi Melva, times for presents are pre-determined by your child’s ticket they received from their school!
