On Friday, Mountain View police officers, along with the assistance of SCCSET, arrested two Mountain View residents in connection with a drug sales case stemming from last month.
Mark Damilano, 47, and Guinevere Lashmett, 27, were arrested after officers served a search warrant at their home on the 500 block of Calderon Avenue around 1 pm Friday. While at the home, officers discovered a loaded AK-47 along with several magazine rounds. Officers also discovered personal identification cards of several people in the surrounding areas, none of which belonged to the pair. We are working to return those items.
In addition to those discoveries, officers also found several bags of methamphetamine, as well as evidence that the pair was selling narcotics. Both were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail on numerous felony charges.
Lashmett was arrested on possession of a controlled substance for sale, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and identity theft.
Damilano was arrested on charges of possession of controlled substances for sale, possession of drug paraphernalia, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of an assault rifle and identity theft.
We want to thank SCCSET (the Santa Clara County Specialized Enforcement Team) for their assistance in this case. Teamwork results in great police work, and we truly appreciated their help.
