The Mountain View Police Department needs help identifying a man who took a package from a home yesterday.
The theft happened around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday on the 100 block of Evandale Avenue. A home surveillance camera snapped the man on the home’s front porch holding the package, which contained a child’s holiday present.
After leaving the house, the man walked a short distance down the block and threw the package into a dumpster that was also located on Evendale Avenue. The man was last seen fleeing onto Fairchild Avenue.
The man is described as a Hispanic male adult in his late 20s or early 30s, roughly 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds. He has a goatee and was last seen wearing a multi-colored heavy jacket, a checkered shirt with a white undershirt, a dark-colored beanie, khaki-colored pants and dark colored shoes.
Anyone who has any information on the suspect is encouraged to contact the Mountain View Police Department at 650-903-6344.
