On Sunday, March 22, 2015 at around 6:30PM a Mountain View resident was flying his remote control aircraft at Monta Loma School located at 460 Thompson Ave. The resident became a victim when he was attacked by two unknown suspects who attempted to take one of his aircraft. The victim was in the large field of the school flying one of his two remote controlled aircraft while the second aircraft was on the ground near him.
The first suspect, described as a heavy set Hispanic male, medium height, wearing a baseball hat and white shorts, walked to the grounded aircraft and picked it up while threatening the victim. When the victim tried to take his aircraft back, the suspect began to punch the victim multiple times. A second suspect, described as a tall male, unknown race in his late teens or early twenties, also attacked the victim.
Both suspects fled the field on foot, accompanied by a female (no further description available), to the throughway leading to Laura Lane. The victim did suffer injuries as a result of this assault. Several witnesses saw the suspects, as well as several others, kicking the doors to the bathroom outbuilding prior to the assault.
