Are children welcome to volunteer at this event, and if so, what age? What happens at the event? What do volunteers do? Do we bring donations of food also? More info appreciated.
Mountain View PD
Yes! We just ask that there be direct parental supervision if you choose to bring kids. They should be capable of putting items like food, cans, etc into laundry baskets. The morning starts off with giant assembly lines where volunteers load up the gift baskets with food and thanksgiving supplies. Cash donations are appreciated over food donations since the cash will allow us to purchase the same items for each gift basket. Volunteers are also needed to help deliver the completed baskets to families around town. Thank you so much for your willingness to help!

Are you collecting gently used stuffed animals?
Mountain View PD
Yes, you can bring them to the police department front counter. Thank you!
